Comments:	This is one brilliant professor. He leaves us all awe struck after each lecture. He manages to touch on things that we thought we knew, deconstructs everything and makes us see how Christianity came to be an organization. His skills in ancient languages is second to none. I guess I now know the value of a Harvard grad, I haven't heard anyone lecture like him. Some of my friends compare his lecture skills to Martin Luther King Jr. We've knicknamed him "Erasmus" because of his Humanistic approach, truly a Man for All Seasons. I feel honoured to have taken his class.

I'm just glad he was my teacher.

I studies all about Abelard and never quite understood why he was such a threat in those days. I think I now know what an Abelard is like. They call him Erasmus in class, I think Abelard is more appropriate. We're quite lucky to have him at York.

I liked what he did to the extreme Christians in the class. he buried them with logic and had them tongue tied in the end. I've never seen anyone like him. A treat to watch in action. Comments:	very intense and by the far the smartest professor I ever came across. Before you right me off, consider that I was at Queens and U of T before coming to York. He's an expert in Roman history and Christianity and doesn't flaunt it! Likable and easy to talk to, just don't try to act dumb with him, the assault will be fast and furious and he takes no prisoners. So do your readings. They call him Erasmus in class, he's more of a Rommel to me. He always praised Paul Swarney, his old professor. I've had classes with both, I can see the similarity. No regret coming to York with such professors.

Comments:	This is one smart dude. Never had anyone like him. He actually researches new material to keep our interest. He's an amazing lecturer too. Other profs like hearing themselves. Professor von Kodar actually has something to say and he keeps rivitted to the end. I brought in my Mom to hear him talk, she enjoyed his class and was very impressed. My Mom is a U of T professor. Comments:	military precision is an understatement. In my business courses, I read about people like him. Is he related to the Red Baron? Fundamentalists don't stand a chance. Fair, and honest. Very likable and popular with us. Doesn't mind being swarmed during break or after class. He takes the time to speak to all of us, even if it's 2 hours after class! They call him Erasmus in class, I prefer the Black Prince or the Red Baron. There's something regal but dangerous about him. Take his class but arm yourself with the readings, all of it!
